The Tavistock and Portman Charity supports the staff and services at the Trust through a Small Grants Scheme (up to £500).
Grants are intended to help with one or more of the following:
· improving patient experience
· staff wellbeing
· service innovation
Please note that any bids eligible for Trust funding, including individual CPD requests and Away Days (up to £300), will not be covered by the Charity and should instead be submitted directly to the Trust.
In exceptional cases, applications for larger amounts may be considered if they pertain to intergenerational trauma, mental health nursing, or schizophrenia.
Examples of recent successful bids for funding include:
- An event to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of The THRIVE Framework for System Change
- A staff wellbeing session making jewellery
- Refreshments and expenses towards a team name change focus group
- A launch event for a new team name and logo
- The purchase of artworks to be displayed in clinical areas around the Trust
- The purchase of artwork for display in the Tavistock Centre
- A celebratory event to mark the achievements and disbanding of the PSPCS
- A wellbeing room for staff at Gloucester House School
- A staff wellbeing session painting pottery
- Trophies for the winners of the Values in Practice staff awards
